Game On: Tempting Twenty-Eight
by Janet Evanovich
I’ve been reading this series since I was a teenager (over a decade ago— oof) so I don’t know if it’s the nostalgia that keeps me going or what lol. I’ll say my taste as a reader has changed. I don’t read as many cozy mysteries like this.
I love jumping back into Stephanie’s shenanigans and her entire family. You get exactly what you expect at this point. These stories are predictable in a way that I enjoy, so it kind of makes them comfort reads for me.
That being said— I now hate love triangles / cheating in books. There’s no way in hell I’d let someone lead me on without commitment as long as she’s done. Like.. just pick one or neither or move on, please.
I was caught around 3-4 stars for this, but again, nostalgia? I don’t know.
