+ I'm always partial to a bot exhibiting some of the less idealistic human behaviors (think Marvin from The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy).
+ The bot's dry humor.
+ The humans don't all just suck.
- I think this might not be fair of me, but I just instinctively deduct a star from books that are shorter than 300 pages. If they're not actual short stories, they just tend to feel like they're lacking.
- Or maybe it's that I don't connect with the characters/material as much, because I do not spend a longer time with it.
