Killers of the Flower Moon: The Osage Murders and the Birth of the FBI by David Grann

challenging dark emotional informative reflective sad fast-paced

5.0

About four days ago, I came across a video of a white woman who focused her entire video on the fact that black people despised her for no apparent reason. "Black people hate White people for no reason,"

The response to her absurd statement was succinct: the traumas produced by your forefathers have been passed down generation after generation. Epigenetic inheritance is the scientific explanation behind this.

So, as a Black American four generations removed from slavery, this term certainly sheds light on several issues, especially now that I am more aware of our past.

This book is why I don’t read non-fiction!

"Killers of the Flower Moon" is an absolutely riveting and haunting read that delves into a dark period of American history with depth and compassion.

David Grann's meticulous research and engaging storytelling make this book a must-read for anyone interested in true crime, Native American history, or government corruption.

I couldn't put it down and was left thinking about the events long after finishing. Highly recommend.
