White Hot Kiss
by Jennifer L. Armentrout
Eh. It was fine. It wasn’t my true love for a couple of reasons:
1. I’m too old.
It pains me to admit this. I think I’ve finally outgrown 17 year old narrators in high school. This is a sad day in my life.
2. It was driven by plot rather than characters.
Character-driven stories are my cup of tea. I love watching characters grow, relationships develop, etc. I grow bored much too quickly if it’s just plot, plot, plot. Which is what this one does. I find I can’t care about the plot if I don’t care about the characters. So, I was bored several times.
Will I read the next one?
Yes, but only because my book buddy is reading it. Can’t leave her hanging.
