I loved this book. The friendships, the witchcraft, the adventure, etc. The Spanish language influence was also a huge bonus. Witchlings was a sweet middle grade read that I would definitely recommend to younger readers who are looking for something adventurous and maybe a little spooky; it would be a great read for fall, but honestly, it could easily be read year-round (I read it in spring and still adored it). I did partially figure out the twist, but I think that's just because I am an adult reading a book geared towards younger readers, and figuring some of it out didn't ruin the reading experience for me at all. Also, I listened to this one on audio book and that was a pleasurable experience, so if you like audio books this one is a good one. I can't wait to read more books in this series!
