Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen

“We all love to instruct, though we can only teach what is not worth knowing.” - Jane Austen, Pride and Prejudice

Guys, why are classic novels always so dull? Can someone please recommend some classic literature that isn’t *ahem* boring?

I knew the general story of Pride and Prejudice before diving into it, so I sort of knew what I was getting into. My main problems with this book are probably the plot and the length. I’m sorry but most of the narrative was simply unnecessary to the overall plot, and the story could have been told in like half the time. And I really found the plot to be monotonous. It was really just a bunch of rich white people being stuck up and pretentious. And none of the characters particularly stood out to me either. They were all uninteresting or flat and one dimensional. (And okay I know it was normal back in the day but I just will never be okay with people marrying their cousins ew.)

I am not quite sure how but I managed to trudge through this one and I have decided it is deserving of 2 stars.
