Wow! Just wow!! I would say that I enjoyed the first book more in some ways, maybe because I liked the newness and originality of the story; however, this story has great depth and characterization. There are new characters and we are on a new continent, giving us another learning curve in the series. I have greatly enjoyed the first two books so far and look forward to continuing. I am amazed, in many ways, by the development of the culture, history, religion, and magic system of this world. Erikson deserves every bit of praise that he receives. Fantastic!!
