Widows by Lynda La Plante

I haven't even watched the movie, but I feel confident saying this is one of the rare cases in which the movie is better than the book.
The idea is good and the characters were interesting, but, god, this was a boring book. Something about the way she wrote it made me want to take a nap every time I picked it up to read. Suddenly staring at the ceiling seemed like a much more interesting option.
