I wasn't sure if I'd like this book, but I just loved it. I was a little worried it would be too literary for me, and that the prose would be too flowery for my personal tastes. But the concept intrigued me so I gave it a go. I'm really glad I did. This book was just beautiful. It was more literary than I'd normally like in places but I actually didn't care because of how absolutely gorgeous it was. It was like a work of art. All the little threads came together and every relationship was so perfectly crafted.
But oh how my heart broke for little Kenta, thinking he was responsible for his friend's death.
And when they found the heartbeats at the library, I cried so hard.
Absolutely loved it!
