Well it took me 2 tries to get through this book but I ended up really liking it. It was very X-Men meets WWII because of the camp they get sent too.
I liked Ruby. She was one of those characters that evolved through the story and grew to be a strong person. All of the other characters were so unique and I especially loved the little romance between Liam and Ruby. It wasn't one of those romances that would hit you in the face obnoxious where it didn't fit into the story which I liked.
Students will enjoy this book although the size might scare them but hopefully they will look past that and want to read on in the series!
