Reread April 2017

The first time I read this, it took me forever to read. I don't know if I wasn't ready for the dark feel of the story or what, but it did. With the reread I see a lot of things I missed (the gentleman that Ky can be, and how he out grew "the Hangmen Whore" title.

On the reread I enjoyed this much more than I thought I would based on my previous read.

Interesting read. This book had a much darker feel to it than "It Ain't Me Babe". Lilah didn't want to leave the commune but did, had a hard time trying to cope with life outside the Prophet's rule. Ky had an easier time falling for and being with Lilah, not just for her looks but everything else. A good continuation of the story looking forward to reading Flame and Maddie.
