From the intricate storytelling to the immersive world-building, I am thoroughly captivated by the "Monstrous World" series by S.E. Wendel. This high fantasy Orc romance is exceptionally well-executed.
The series features a well-developed cast of characters. Orek, a half-orc, half-human, and Sorcha will capture your heart from the very first chapter. Their raccoon sidekick, Darrah, is heart-melting adorable.
"Halfling" is not your typical orc romance; it is a slow-burn, whimsical story interspersed with passionate and steamy scenes. The dialogue is flirty, sexy, and witty, transitioning seamlessly to more intense and intimate moments. The narrative is filled with adventures and a few action-packed scenes involving antagonists, adding a layer of excitement.
This is a story I wish I could experience for the first time all over again.
