This was a book that most of the time I read it, I felt "out of the loop" or as if I was supposed to know more than what was being written. The last 100 pages or so had a great twist, plot points came together, it had a really satisfying cliffhanger (which is why I'm rating it so high); but most of the book I just felt so purposefully left out of a conversation.
