Howards End by E.M. Forster

emotional reflective medium-paced

| Extremely cringe (affectionate).

And I do have to hand it to Forester: excellent sister depiction.

Complicated to review! Love the premise, yes! "Just connect," I hear you Forester! (He also says fuck cars)

I found myself reading passages and going back and forth between thinking "???" and "!!!!" Either way, in the end, think I enjoy and respect what Forester is getting at, and it is one of those books I'm actually keen to see adaptations of (not a default for me). It is too bad I'm reviewing this months and months after I read this, lmao

Also: Hilarious knowing that Mcfadyen was cast as Henry in a recent BBC adaptation. Perhaps they hoped his theatre-school charisma would make the weird romance more palatable? Lmao
