look. this book could have been really, REALLY good - fresh twist on snow white, interesting (though sometimes vague) worldbuilding, VERY defined atmosphere and beautiful prose. but. uh. the heroine's love interest was her adopted brother? the heroine's love interest was her adopted brother. i mean, sure, they never call each other siblings, but she refers to his father as her father and she's considered part of their family (a princess to his prince) and like... from the bottom of my heart, let me just say: yikes
