The Ritual

The Ritual was yummy, a great mid level dark romance intense, twisted, and dripping with obsession. Ryat is the perfect mix of toxic and irresistible, and his dynamic with Blakely kept me hooked. Their chemistry is off the charts, and the whole push-and-pull between love, obsession, and power was addicting to read.
The secret society backdrop added an extra layer of intrigue(I need more hopefully from future books), and the spice absolutely delivered it’s dark, kinky, and bold in ways that make this book stand out. That said, I did feel like Blakely fell a little flat at times. I wanted just a bit more depth and personality from her to match Ryat’s intensity, which would have made their relationship feel even stronger.
Dark, steamy, and addictive Shantel gave me exactly what I wanted with this one.
