At times challenging to read, at times hilarious to read, and at times addicting to read, A Hymn To Dionysus is an incredibly unique love story.
While inspired by The Bacchae by Euripides, Pulley’s narrative takes us beyond anything I’ve read before and elevates the Greek tragedies and comedies of yore. References to the Theban plays and Homer are strewn throughout which are a delight to come across.
Highly recommend this book.
