She Hunts in Shadow: A Season of Angels Novella by Christopher Stanfield

challenging dark emotional mysterious sad medium-paced

4.75

This novella is a glimpse into the story of the months passing between The Girl in the Storm and A Woman in Darkness. You might think it's not that relevant to Genevieve's/Lilith development, but after reading it I realized that is not true. This short story shows the striking difference between angels and demons, and how easily we assign the "evil/good" label to each of them. In this story, it's not that simple. It is also a window to the heartbreaking pain Lilith bears after leaving her life behind, and it shows just how remarkable her courage and determination are.
If you're reading A Season of Angels, don't skip this one!
