If you don't have an ED before reading this book, it might give you one. There is a lot of HEAVY handed body shaming and fat phobia - which may be cultural but isn't healthy. The oddest part of the body shaming is that it is intertwined with a butter and rich food obsession - again leaning heavily into disordered eating. Even with a rock solid body image, this book was hard to read. Finally, I was disappointed to see the murder plot point take a back seat.
I think this well written, but some of the beauty may have been lost to the translation.

Graphic: Body shaming, Eating disorder, Fatphobia, Toxic relationship
Moderate: Adult/minor relationship
