Damn Wright by Skye Jordan

4.0

I’m new to Skye Jordan’s books and Damn Wright didn’t disappoint!

Dylan Wright is a foreign correspondent who has been away for 8 years. After the loss of his best friend, he returns home to reconnect with his family and his former wife, Emma. He’s never forgotten Emma and hopes he can get her back. During this time, Emma has become a doctor and recently become engaged. She’s ready to move on and achieve her own dreams.

This sweet, emotional second chance story was a great read. You feel both Dylan and Emma’s pain over the breakup of their marriage and understand Emma’s cautiousness about trying again. I was definitely cheering for them to find their happily ever after. Their heartwarming HEA has to be one of my favorites. I’m a fan of strong, independent female characters like Emma. Their HEA honors them as a couple as well as Emma’s independence.

Fans of the Wright series will enjoy glimpses into Miranda and Gypsy’s lives. I’m looking forward to Gypsy and Wyatt’s story!
