With Malice

I thought this book was ok. I had a hard time choosing between 2 and 3 stars. I went with 3, because the book did hold my interest throughout.
I kind of thought that the whole premise of the book was a bit silly. The main character, Jill, was in a car accident in which her best friend, Simone, dies. Jill has not memory of the past few weeks (including the accident) and the authorities assume that because the girls were fighting, the accident was some sort of murder suicide attempt by Jill. I fought that to be a little far fetched. I also did not really like any of the characters and I didn't like the ending.
It sounds like perhaps I should have gone with 2 stars. There were a few things that I did like, though. I liked the Italian setting. I also liked the way the story was told in some creative ways in addition to the straight narration. Part of the story was told through comments on a website called "Justice for Simone." It was interesting.
Overall, I thought the book was a fun easy read, but I wouldn't recommend that you run out and read it right now.
