The Madness of Viscount Atherbourne by Elisa Braden
5.0
Book hangover incoming.
I loved everything about this book. Revenge, angst, you're-awful-but-I need-you, secrets, cover art that perfectly matches the book. Even though I knew what was coming Braden still punched me in the gut and knocked the wind out of the room, it was so well done.
Atherbourne was such a delicious hero-villain? Victoria was a believable heroine, they had great chemistry and push-pull. Their relationship seemed like a modernized bodice ripper/forced seduction and I ate it up. I loved and appreciated that Atherbourne didn't quite grovel and that the reconciliation felt real and natural with some help from those around them.
Also, Lady Wallingham is a legend.
