Pre-order this now! The perfect book to get you in the mood for Fall. Such a deliciously atmospheric read. I didn’t want to put it down.

The story takes place on an island in the Pacific Northwest, a ferry ride away from Seattle, in a close knit small town community with definite witchy vibes. An apple orchard is the main source of revenue and a tourist attraction in the fall.
The book shifts between past and present POVs when the main suspect of an unsolved murder shows up on the island 14 years later. The Island has been holding on to too many secrets and they’re beginning to unravel, throwing this small community into chaos.
My one complaint with the book is that I think there are too many character POV chapters. The book is mainly told through the POV of August and Emery so when other characters are thrown in it can be a little confusing, even though I understand why that character’s POV is needed for the storyline.

This was my first Adrienne Young read and the beautifully descriptive prose of this book has me so eager to check out her other works.

Thank you to NetGalley and Random House Publishing for the copy of this eARC.
