This book was so fun, and I would expect nothing less from Casey McQuiston!! I went into this knowing nothing other than that it was gay, and presumably a sapphic protagonist kissed someone named Shara Wheeler. And yes while that definitely happens, I was not prepared for everything else that happens in this book.
I was immediately intrigued from the message from McQuiston at the start about the religious context in the book, and I liked the way they showed characters navigating queerness in a state/town/school that told them being gay was evil. I thought the hunt for clues about where Shara had disappeared to was so fun and trying to determine her motives along with Chloe.
The variety of high school characters who are featured and seeing the ways they are different or unexpectedly similar was fun :) Would definitely read again
