Miss Dior: A Story of Courage and Couture by Justine Picardie

Did not finish book. Stopped at 26%.
I'm barely a quarter in and I'm giving up. There's just not enough here to justify a 600+ page book. Catherine Dior, the person the book is about, disappears from the narrative for entire chapters because there's just not enough in the historical record about her —so instead it's just a general history of the occupation and the French resistance and after suffering through an entire chapter recounting the torture techniques employed there, I don't have the stomach to continue.
