Howl and Other Poems by Allen Ginsberg

3.0

Howl has long been a favourite poem of mine, but I had never read anything else Ginsberg had written until now. I think for me what makes Ginsberg a memorable writer is the atmosphere he creates. It's less about the words and more about the impression it leaves. It's clear to me why he is so well loved and so well remembered as one of the great poets of the Beat Generation. I especially loved the poem Transcription of Organ Music. I think that one paints Ginsberg accurately in the light he created for himself.
