Maybe You Should Talk to Someone: A Therapist, Her Therapist, and Our Lives Revealed by Lori Gottlieb

5.0

[2019] This book falls smack dab in the middle of my wheelhouse: human behavior, psychology, memoir, and a sense of humor. A book about being a therapist and being in therapy? I’m all in! Light and readable, without being fluffy, I was engaged the whole way through all 400 pages. The author deftly weaves together her experiences with her own patients, her own personal story and her own growth working with her own therapist, as well as some of the basic principles, techniques, and lingo of modern psychotherapy. Totally up my alley, I was really looking forward to reading it and it didn’t disappoint.
