Brazen: Rebel Ladies Who Rocked the World
by Pénélope Bagieu
I really can't say enough good things about this graphic novel. I learned so much! In this graphic novel, we are given little biographical profiles of amazing, inspiring women throughout history who have defied the odds.
I learned so much! From Hedy Lamarr, an Austrian actress who essentially invented GPS technology, to Frances Glessner Lee who changed the way we examine crime scenes...I was in awe the entire time I read this phenomenal book. The illustrations are also fabulous and fit in well with the tone of each passage.
I would definitely recommend this to anyone who loves learning new aspects of history, needs a fresh done of empowerment, or just enjoys emotionally impactful graphic novels. Not to be missed!
