I found the setting, characters and banter very familiar, which made for a comforting read for me. I really like the connection between the FMC and the MMC, and how their storyline plays out.  It felt believable and I could clearly picture Garrett as a character. 
I wasn’t a fan of

how the rape was discussed or handled, only because I felt like it could’ve been a slower transition into a sexual relationship given this was a main issue of the FMC. She said “I’m broken because I’m unable to orgasm with a partner” and he was like “I’ll fix that first go”. But I did appreciate the thought the MMC put into the process, AKA research and care and asking others for advice

I also struggled with the word helluva and it’s overuse. 
But that might be a personal preference 🙈
I think I will continue with the series because I really enjoyed the dynamic of the hockey team and expanding friend group, and I think this series could continue to be an enjoyable and comforting read for me.
