It started off pretty similar to most Teacher/Student dark romances that I've liked in the past; Handsome, brooding, and mysterious teacher paired with a troubled student who has experienced severe grief, loss, and trauma. I'm not that big of a fan of how dark this book got and as much as I absorb BDSM and dark romance themed books like a sponge, this one just didn't do it for me.
