The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss

1.0

DNF'd early in and glad I never bought it. Tedious, pretentious, and over-written. I genuinely struggle to see why this guy is famous or got so much praise for this.

And knowing a lot of other things about him as a writer and person, I'm not inclined at all to read anything by him ever.

While I have my frustrations with GRRM, his writing is leagues above Rothfuss, and he has produced far more content than merely two novels and some novellas. I'm also still willing to buy Winds of Winter when it comes out because I love the world of ASOIAF.

Those books are dense and long, but I would easily recommend ASOIAF ten times over this one.

Do yourself a favor and skip over this author (Rothfuss) and his works. They are not worth the time and investment.
