Feminism and Pop Culture: Seal Studies by Andi Zeisler

I chose to read this for an Apush research project, but I actually ended up really liking it a lot more than I thought I would. Sure, it isn’t the most academic and in-depth book on the topic there probably is, but I think it definitely is a wonderful introduction and offers many moments of nuance. I liked some of the questions it raised and even though it was written only 15 years ago, it’s insane to see some of the author’s predictions ring true and also just how much the social landscape has changed since then.
