I have a lot of regret for committing to finishing this series. Especially knowing I am not someone who likes to DNF a book... And I didn't realize this one was 20 hours long. For that length, I expected more plot. Everything was so dragged up, except for
"the battle" at the end, which happened way too late and ended way too quickly for the buildup it got.
. The end was so anticlimactic that way,  even though there is
a whole war
going on now, it didn't feel like much of an incentive to start the next trilogy.

We are in book 3, and the pack still doesn't feel like they actually like each other very much. Their "bickering" tends to be bullying than joking. And sometimes they call Ivy nicknames that sound like she's their child rather than omega. Whiskey still was mostly annoying, but not in a fun way. Valek was called
"a snake" and untrustworthy
for so long, always with the sentence that they just have to talk it out, but they never did. The issue was just resolved at some point?!

There is so much stuff that 1) was super repetitive (especially things about how someone looks or smells, if I hear the word "honeysuckle" one more time I will explode) and 2) made no sense (like how we always make a big deal about Wraith's mask but then when we go to the club him wearing a mask before entry would've meant people would stare but him not wearing one would mean the same so why did no one stare at him? Or alpha's heat being strong enough to withstand hypothermia in a snowstorm? I doubt it.

Honestly the only thing that made me start book 3 was Wraith and the Knight and the only thing that made me finnish it is knowing I'd think about this book more if I didn't know what ending the author chose (that's a me thing and luckily not too big of an issue since I am currently at around a book per day).
