The Secret Adversary
by Agatha Christie
This edition features a detailed introduction by John Curran surveying all of Christie's Tommy and Tuppence works which concludes that it "is doubtful that any of the five books would still be available today if it weren’t for the career of the famous Belgian of the little grey cells or the elderly inhabitant of St. Mary Mead." While it is certainly true that Christie shone brighter with other works, my reread of this first T&T reaffirmed for me that there would still be a willing market for this entertaining espionage adventure.
