TJR has once again been able to create a story which is so immersive and compelling you really felt like you’re on the court with Carrie herself!

I loved each character in their own right -  the bond between Carrie and her dad was beautiful and seeing Carrie’s character develop through her tournaments, training and love interest made it so powerful. The juxtaposition of powerful women being both admired and scrutinised by the media  was a fantastic touch - special note that these media segments are fantastic on the audio book!

I love how we get to experience the highs and lows with Carrie and the writing style captures so much emotion that it feels completely authentic!

This is easily my top read of the month so far … and possibly for the year! Certainly my favourite TJR book so far.
