This is the third book in the ๐’๐ฉ๐š๐ซ๐ซ๐จ๐ฐ ๐…๐š๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฌ series that follows hockey star Cope Colson as he returns to his hometown in hopes of repairing his image after an altercation with his teammate gets him bad press. Everyoneโ€™s favorite baker, Sutton, has a son attending the local hockey summer camp run by none other than Lucaโ€™s favorite player- The Reaper, aka, Copeland Colson. When the secrets from their past come to light, can they heal and move forward together?

I was lucky enough to listen to the audiobook and WOW. I was impressed, yet not surprised at how perfectly Connor Crais balanced the rugged hockey player and his emotional turmoil. Erin Mallon as Sutton was a match made in heaven. You absolutely need to listen to this one!

Catherine Cowles can do no wrong in my eyes! Romantic suspense? Check. A professional hockey player as the leading man? Check. A single mom with the cutest son aspiring to be a hockey player? Check. Letโ€™s not forget the romantic suspense genius & plot twists thrown at you throughout the story. Safe to say, this book got five shiny ๐—ด๐—ผ๐—น๐—ฑ๐—ฒ๐—ป stars from me!!

Iโ€™m just obsessed with this story! Cope and Sutton shared an instant connection that allowed their relationship to grow & flourish both gradually and naturally. In the previous books, we see Sutton as a guarded individual and we learn the reasoning why right off the bat in this book. It was beautiful to see Cope break down her walls and earn not only her trust, but that of her son, Luca. I absolutely melted at the interactions between Cope and Luca. I couldnโ€™t get enough. I will be thinking of this book for a long time to come. Please read this series so you can meet these characters immediately๐Ÿซถ๐Ÿผ

***This story dives into some heavier topics such as grief, addiction (of a side character), and physical/gun violence so please be kind to yourself before jumping into this one.
