It was cute and easy to read, but not my cup of tea. The set up for the MMC's interest was well written and I enjoyed their contrasting personalities. However, I wasn't on board with the banter between the side character's husbands, Ash and Chase. Given that I've read Ash's story previously, the banter they had was boyishly out of character and felt very juvenile and kind of took me out of the story. Furthermore, the chemistry between our main characters was there, but it wasn't very electric. It all felt... rather dull. Additionally, I'm not a big fan of time jumps and epilogues and this had both - back to back. You don't have to spell out their happy ending... it's historical romance it's pretty much a given.
