This book surprised me in the best way possible. It started off all stuffy and boring but quickly started to take some dark and unexpected twists. The writing style, unreliable narrator, and varying pace reminded me a little of Ishiguro. This would make a great book club book cos I really want to get into the who, when,. where, why with someone!
