The Billionaire Needs a Bodyguard by Ravina Hilliard

2.0

Thank you to Dawn Hill Publications for sending me a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review

I really wanted to like this book because it seemed steamy and mysterious. But in reality the book was so corny and not in a cute romance book way. I didn't develop any feelings for Lex or Michael and I didn't see any chemistry between them. I could've liked Lex for her sarcastic personality because hi uh same but I couldn't get over how grossly unprofessional she was. She is someone who prides herself in her work, is supposedly amazing at it, and laid out her terms from the very beginning that she was not down for sex and yet she immediately gives in. Michael was also just so gross and so emotionally stunted which, honestly for a 50 year old man is just plain embarrassing. It was so annoying and disgusting how he would constantly berate and slut shame Sasha/Lex. It also was extremely disturbing how he would flip flop from being all husky/sexy and be so possessive/angry seconds later. The ending was also just so corny and unrealistic. Their relationship was fake and based upon lies but
Spoiler they love each other and want to get married?!?!?!?!?!?!?
How does that make any sense?
