Love Redesigned by Lauren Asher

2.0

After finishing this book I realized that it doesn’t have a plot.
If you count the actual plot of  “redesigning” the house, it would take up maybe 1-2 chapters.
So what happens in the rest of the 500 pages? Nothing besides promoting the characters that the next book in this series will be about, some bickering between the main characters and some unnecessary “filler scenes” to make the book even longer.

There was absolutely no need for this book to be THIS long!!!!

No romance book should be over 350-400 pages (with 400 being the absolute maximum)
I can totally understand any other genre to be over 400-500 pages long with all the world building/solving mysteries etc. but romance books just get boring .. in this book it was not the case of “world building” that made it so long but the “preparation” for the following book to come in the series. Rafa (the character that will be the mc of the next book) took up so many scenes in this book that contributed absolutely N.O.T.H.I.N.G to the story which is why I think that this book could have been AT LEAST 200 pages shorter with nothing changing about the main story.
Many times I felt like I’m not reading a real romance story between Julian & Dahlia but a “preparation” / “intro” for another book.

Lauren Asher is a great author who only tends to get a little bit lost in her writings while trying to build up anticipation in her readers for her next books.
