Anxious People by Fredrik Backman
5.0
This book is so fucking special to me.
People no matter how different, distinct and outwardly gruff show their love in their own way.
No matter how much we lie to ourselves, the difference between us and the man on that bridge is smaller than we wish.
What a quaint, hilarious, fantastical little story about the nature of love, loss, desperation and death.
This was such a loveable cast of characters, each unmistakably flawed, opinionated and with their own distinct motivations and their interactions and the way they warmed to each other was delightful to watch. The humour had me spluttering in laughter even as I was in tears.
Please read it.
