Certainly made me think about abortion laws and rights alongside pro life and pro choice campaigners. The attack on the abortion centre and the relationships between the victims, the shooter and the detective felt like a sensational vehicle for taking the argument to the reader. The book was written to go through the day backwards leading to the point in the morning when the gunman decided to take this action which was at times confusing but the twist this revealed worked well.
