The Seven Silly Eaters by Mary Ann Hoberman

3.0

A coworker gave me this book as a recommendation. The book is entertaining as it goes through its rhyming formula and gives us a surprising twist at the end that I didn't see coming. However, the majority of this book just had me going, "What horrible brat children." I'm not very sympathetic to picky eaters--you eat what's on your plate unless you're allergic and it's going to kill you. I can't understand why the parents didn't ever draw the line. It's cute overall, but a bit problematic for me.

For: picky eaters; parents who can sympathize.

Possible red flags: whiney/demanding children throughout.
