The Book Thief by Markus Zusak
5.0
Often, when I read a book that completely overwhelms me (which doesn't happen frequently) I find myself unable to put together a coherent review and gather my thoughts about it. This is exactly the case.
"The Book Thief" is the most powerful book that I've ever read in my entire life, and I doubt I will ever manage to find something that will remotely affect me as this story did. I can't bring my self to say that I've loved it, because it's more than that, and it certainly wasn't "love" what I was feeling. "The Book Thief" broke me as no other book has ever broken me. It touched my soul in a way that I never thought could be possible, and I'm eternally grateful for even having the chance of reading this. I'm heartbroken, angry, sad, and at times I wish I had never read it, but then again I'm glad I did.
Eventually, I might be able to write a proper review about it in the future, but for now, I'll leave it to that.
