A Storm of Swords by George R.R. Martin

4.0

It's hard not to love this book simply for its fleshing out of the 'The Rains of Castamere' song. How an author can create a universe that not only inspires songs, but includes them, there have been few in this platinum tier of ability and scope.

But along with that we get deliciously evil fleshing out of Joff asking, we get the Brave Companions and all their glory, with minor characters within getting some splotlight to shine for those of us here for the bad guys. Some minor Greyjoy and Bolton tampering, but mostly side-notes in other POV character mentionings.

There is nothing really that I can say that hasn't already been said about how this book accelerates so many plot-lines in a satisfying or shocking way, so I will simply add my approval to the chorus of positive reviews.
