I always thought Spaghetti Westerns were a bit cliché, so I wasn’t exactly excited to read True Grit for my work’s book club. Man, was I wrong! This book was an absolute delight—gritty, engaging, and full of sharp wit. It tells a badass story with a protagonist who refuses to be underestimated. In my opinion, Mattie is the one who truly embodies true grit
