My first mafia romance! I was not expecting to like this book as much as I did. Sophie Lark, you are a genius!
High school graduates from different mafia families all over the world are sent to Kingmakers, a mafia school off the coast of Greece. Each student is separated into groups of heirs, accountants, enforcers, or spies. I honestly loved this story and forgot it was even a romance at times. TBH it could have just been an action/revenge story about mafia families and I would have been just as invested.
POVs from three heirs: Anna, Leo, and Dean. Anna and Leo are childhood friends, but upon arriving at Kingmakers, Leo realizes he might like Anna as more than a friend. Enter Dean. Dean decides Leo has had long enough to realize he's in love with Anna, so he pursues her. Oh yeah, did I forget to mention Dean hates Leo and has ancestral beef with him?? Wow so much drama. Read it, read it, read it!
