If I could give a 3.5 star rating I would, however I'm forced to round down. I know that the series was never intended to be as long as it became, but the downfall of Horus happens so fast that it makes the back third of the book decidedly more cartoonish that the previous 2/3rds and Horus Rising.
Overall I did enjoy the novel though and will be happy to move on to Galaxy in Flames to see where the story goes next.
