The Upper World

Loved it! Where this book especially shines is dialogue (making the intriguing, sweet and funny young protagonists really come to life). Also the two-fold POV across time is a clever choice. I enjoyed the rhythm and pace of the story - it was only towards the end that it felt a bit stretched/thin. As much as I loved the protagonists' voices, what I missed at times was more grounding the actions in description of the physical world. (As a serial numbers hater) I agree the amount of physics and maths can be a bit scary, but I thought it was well explained and weaved into the story.
