This was definitely my favorite book so far in the series. For starters, Eric is a completely different person (vampire, whatever), and I actually enjoyed that. I hate his personality as he normally is, and even though I knew he returns to normal, I was actually disappointed that the spell was lifted, because it made it a lot easier to enjoy his character. Too bad that only lasted one book. I'm also pretty sure I liked this book more because Bill was out of the picture for about 95% of it, so I didn't have to deal with Sookie whining about him not being a part of her life or bragging about how sexy~ he is. One thing I didn't like was how there seemed to be so much going on at one time. Sookie often disregarded her brother completely because she had to go run off to take care of Eric or fight some witches.
